| ART: Students from Samford University lead art classes for kids in our target area one day a week. Kids have the opportunity to express creativity through various art media. Classes are available for kindergarten through 8th grade students on Thursdays from 3:30-5:30. Activities include origami, painting, clay and ending with a creation of a mural which will become a permanent part of the NorthStar studio.
MUSIC: NorthStar shares office space with Metropolitan Youth Orchestra/Scrollworks. Through this partnership, we are able to offer music lessons four days a week taught by skilled and experienced instructors. Kids can take piano, string, drums, guitar and introductory music classes.
DANCE: Classes taught by students from the Samford Dance Team. Held Thursdays for one hour.
ARTS SAMPLER: Two full hours rotating through art, dance & music for K-1st grade students.
TUTORING: Samford students will be leading tutoring at Smithfiled Library for students from Hill School. More information on this program to come in September.
